Quest(ion)s!

This is adventurer's life as it was meant to be! People to help, truths to uncover, a couple of monsters to kill, quest to complete... :D

Pasifika started with Donthitme, because he needed to gather a party of Windurstians, but she ended up as a kindergarten teacher... well, the Tarutarus didn't actually ask for one, but they couldn't get rid of her... x) Cheer little tarus, cheer!
Things really got going when Pasifika latched on to Phucrabiont for some interesting and exciting quests. ^_^ First to the north, to get an ahriman lens (once again)... Some fighting for those, but the battles in Garlaige Citadel for a special key were a bit tougher.

As a dedicated white mage, Pasifika took on one of the undead. The duel didn't go too well, but the patient little tarudin mainly just looked on and let her fight for herself... ^^; So, Pasifika wasn't quite the vanquisher of the undead she would've liked to be, but she grabbed the key the others got and ran for it~... or something. ^^;

Pasifika was mainly useful as a doorstop, but that didn't prevent her from reaching the furnace room where the panicked tarus had asked her to go. How does anybody manage to bring their trash to this incinerator anyway, when it's behind all those doors and there are monsters around..? O_o

Where's the secret tunnel to Windurst, huh? Anyway, the two Tarutarus were so overjoyed when Pasifika returned safely - and saved their little rear ends! x)

But this was just the beginning of the adventures! Pasifika and Phucrabiont headed to the Purgonorgo Isle - this time just the two of them - and took a guided tour on the manaclipper before actually getting on with the very important quest... The guide's stories were interesting, but there were also some (rather unfortunate ^^;) sea creatures to provide the adventurers with entertainment.

No need to fight constantly though, plenty of time for enjoying the brisk sea-breeze and the enchanting view as well... mm... *_*

One of Pasifika's favourite parts of the adventure, though there were many other enjoyable moments along the way. ^_^

So, there's something fishy going on on the beautiful island... But wait, what are you doing to those cute little black Mandragoras! o_O And mandys, get off Phucrabiont, you'll just get hurt - and besides, Phu's {mine} so back off! D: Why does everyone want a piece of this red mage... x)

Just as Pasifika suspected, the mandys weren't responsible for the trouble, but a lot of good it did to them... ^^; 'Attack first, ask questions later' seems to be the basic adventurer's motto... not eveyone is as inquisite as Pasifika.

Phucrabiont and Pasifika returned to Windurst to report their findings, but the mystery was far from being solved. Next they had to find a Mithra tracker... but what a pleasant suprise! A horrible dragon appeared, but instead of just telling the adventurers to deal with it, she took the big lizard on herself...

Hope you're as tough as you look! I'd love to help you, but I have to go defend Al Zahbi again, so I really can't stay... x)

A lot of questions were left unaswered at this point, but there really was no time, Besieged awaited~!

The Lamia, with their undead, were attacking once again, and Pasifika joined the defenders of the empire with Phucrabiont. Otherwise all went well with Pasifika (though not all that well for some others, unfortunately ;_;) but she became charmed by Lamia Nro.3 at one point and advanced towards Phucrabiont with her hammer drawn...

Well, she went right past, but the Lamia struck brave General Phucrabiont down with a critical strike! o_o; That may have been for the best, though - Phu had planned on launching a devastating spell on little Pasifika! O_o Some others tried to sleep her, but none luckily attacked her while she was charmed... ^^;

Well, wouldn't Lamia Nro.3 be Pasifika's new best friend now for saving her life from the e~vil red mage? XD

Hmmm... what's this in the delivery box? A big pile of Angelwings from Phucrabiont..?? Oooh, apology accepted! x) Where should I fly~ :D

Cute Tarutaru Paladin = Cutarudin? ^.^

General's new clothes

Phucrabiont beat Maat in a tough but brief fight (Congratulations!!!) and soon after changed his style with some new clothes... After getting so used to following the familiar red-and-black back, how will Pasifika know where to go from now on?! If she's seen wandering in strange places on her own, she's probably just followed the wrong guy... XD (Or girl... you can't claim elvaan girls' back would look any different from guys' in those clothes & hat! :o Hmm... they do run a bit differently, though...)

Anyway, Pasifika's trying to get used to the new look. Here's a calm moment before the Besieged, some idle chatting... "So how's that little Paladin, Whatshisname... the one that's about this high..."

And after the Besieged...

More adventures filled with with {exitement}! Pasifika followed along as some linkshell members were doing a quest, and she got to see interesting battles. This poor dragon had nothing to do with it, though, but it happened to be there... and it was already dead when Pasifika got there, honest... ^^;

The Notorious Monster in Fei'Yin wasn't much more alive either, as it was undead to start with. It also wasn't much of a challenge, and the ninja was probably mainly having trouble staying awake with it (with his back turned to it) until the quest-doer himself came around to witness its demise... But that evil undead had defeated Phucrabiont earlier, so this served it right! >:O
From the cold north to the notorious Garlaige Citadel, where a more powerful monster awaited...

The monster is there somewhere, I tell you, but this WHM is going to keep some distance! Oh, look, Romidiant is here to help us..! Not Pasifika's though, but Romi all the same... x)

The room was too small for the white mages to stay out of harm's way, and so they both were eventually KO'd by a powerfull area effect. Luckily the others were able to handle the rest of the fight without them, and in the end General Phucrabiont raised both WHMs. Hmmm... where will this go in the battle about who is the fastest/most efficient raiser..? o_o;

The fight against the Guardian statue had been somewhat tiring, but after a brief rest Pasifika and Phucrabiont returned to Fei'Yin with their loyal adventuring fellows.
Just take the bat out from the middle, and you have a 3 vs 1 fight... x) But it's not fair, he even has two swords! D: {Run away!}

Now here's a big guy, but he'll fall like the rest of them did, just with a bigger thud! XD

While the NM fights and even the regular monsters were quite exciting, the moments of horror were provided by the appearance of the red dot of doom...

This is no place for a lone little white mage - or one accompanied only by her adventuring fellow, for that matter. Don't leave me here alone... ,o_o, Not with the creepy undead, or even the more thoroughly dead... o_o;

In the end, Phucrabiont stayed with Pasifika until their adventuring fellows decided to head back home. ^^

Pasifika the mighty

There was something evil - or at least suspicios - afoot, and Pasifika started to solve the mystery with Romidiant, as she had done several times before. This time the first step wasn't a dangerous fight (although one of those is no doubt just around the corner), but instead Romidiant and Pasifika started by gathering some meterials from various locations. Romidiant worked so hard, too! ;D

In the middle of this task, Pasifika recieved a distress signal, I mean a request for a Raise, and naturally she couldn't ignore the plea for help...

It took her a while to find her target, but it was no wonder... he was a little cute Tarutaru, face down on the ground... Pasifika was out of MP and a Yagudo thought it could seize the opportunity while she was healing - but Pasifika dispathced it with her first hit, to the ashtonishment of the taru... Mighty WHM! :D Romidiant stayed considerately at the back, letting Pasifika bask in her moment of glory... x)

When they were done with the gathering process, Pasifika couldn't resist the temptation to challenge some local white mages to one-on-one fights after Romidiant took his leave... XD Oh, you want to Banish me, huh?! Two can play this game... >:o

In due time Pasifika traveled to the north to continue the quest on her own, and got only a bit lost... she did find what she was looking for in the end, and she also saw beautiful landscapes, like this field of frozen flowers... (Well, they must be icicles in this temperature. They can't just grow there in all that snow, can they... o_O)

From The northern glaciers Pasifika hurried to Qufim Island, where Linathra had become trapped by a goblin - and also a Kraken, as it turned out - while trying to get some miraculous flowers fror a sick child... It had been a bit of a disappointment not to see the Kraken when Pasifika first visited it's lair for the same purpose, accompanied by a red mage that could've easily wiped the seaside rocks with the monster...

No such knight in shining armor around this time, so Pasifika decided to save her friend on her own. {Full attack!} After an exciting fight - including a painful Cross Attack from the Kraken (for 270 hp) and Benediction on Pasifika's part - the fiend was vanquished and the beautiful Mithra was freed. :D

...aaand the goblin came around and attacked the rather weak Pasifika while she was healing, but together with Linathra she defeated the goblin as well. ^^;
Fun and excitement! :D

Level Up! ...and another, and... x)

Pasifika had been encouraged to gain some experience, and so she did, after the marvellous Anniversary ring made it very quick and easy - not always pleasant, though, but it wasn't all bad...

First Pasifika went to Altepa desert as white mage. Whith the permission from the party leader and no complaints from other members she happily meleed while carrying on her duties as the party's main healer.

It wasn't perfect, of course... there was that Antican aggro Pasifika sacrificed herself to defeat, and a fruitless trip to the Quicksand caves, which cost the party two members to mysterious 'zoned and never came back' -syndrome... but it was generally fun, until Mr. Rdm came around. First, he correctly identified the WHM and cast Refresh on her - cheer! - but when the first battle began... ,o_o,

"no"
"wtf"
"WHM's don't melee"

...and so the WHM sat huddled in her corner, casting occasional cures and hastes in the general direction of the rest of the party. -_- That guy had an opinion on other matters as well, and the worst thing was that he was mainly right, if you think about how things are usually done efficiently in a party... but all the fun was drained out of it by his all-too-rational and not-always-so-kind comments. ,-_-,

Although this experience was enough to make Pasifika decide she wouldn't party again in a lo~ng time, there are exceptions. Soon after her ordeal she proudly donned her Guide beret and headed out for some light-hearted partying with Linathra.

Pasifika was happy to adventure with the 3 and ½ member party in Qufim Island and Delkfut Tower, because all the members were good friends and none of them objected to the other one's style. (Well, Yufafa was quite possessive about Donthitme, always casting her cures and protects - who's the real WHM here, huh?)

Linathra did a good job as red mage and although Donthitme wasn't the best of tanks as Tarutaru dark knight, it wasn't that bad... Pasifika likes to be the mighty second tank! x) Too bad she could't wear her beautiful armor for this one.

While there is certain joy in being the *WHM* that melees, Pasifika did unlock paladin job, and under Linathra's watchful eye she took her wavering first steps as the white-mage-that-fights (without-being-frowned-upon). Ok, they weren't all that uncertain steps... x) With Donthitme the samurai (who had gained a level while trying to bloodport and so was a bit ahead of Pasifika's paladin ^^;) she easily defeated the enemies in Sarutabaruta - and quite enjoyed it, too. (Even though Donthitme seemed to feel a bit sorry for Pasifika, because changing to paladin meant considerable increase to her attacks... ^^;)

To balance it all out, Pasifika also spent some time playing Chocobo Hot & Cold with SnowyForest, who had learned the Treasure Finder ability. The 'treasure' wasn't that great in value, but looking for it was fun and it came in such a pretty treasure chest, too. :D

Adventuring with friends and fellows

Pasifika ran into Linathra the other day in Bastok, and together they took some flowers to the memorial stone atop a hill, like they'd been asked to do. There was a mysterious name on the memorial, only partly visible... Hmmm... Maybe it'll lead into another adventure later on.

After that was taken care of, Linathra wanted to go to Palborough Mines to find a special sharp stone, and Pasifika tagged along. While Pasifika is much more used to following a certain red and black back than leading anyone, she managed to take Linathra to the mythril vein pretty well this time. Pasifika kept the Quadavs busy while Linathra mined, and when Linathra was done, they teleported away right from under the noses - and swords - of the surprised Quadavs. x)

Next Linathra headed to Ghelsba Outpost to defeat a horrible dragon. Unfortunately Pasifika couldn't help her with that... Best she could do was borrow her some items and cheer from behind the fence. Linathra and her adventuring fellow were defeated time and again by the dragon, but finally they were victorious.

Fighting together for so many times had apparently strenghtened the bond between Linathra and Feliz, because back at Jeuno Luto immediately suggested giving Feliz some better equipment. Linathra was also able to give Feliz advice about a suitable combat style the first time they talked.

Pasifika hadn't had the opportunity to spend time with her favourite Tarutaru for a while, so she was willing to follow the little BLU Donthitme into Attohwa Chasm to find him a blue magic skill. Fights weren't particularily difficult, but the antlions sure were big! o_o After some fruitless fights, Donthitme did learn the Mandibular Bite and immediately paid the antlions back in kind by using it against them.

Pasifika's loyal adventuring fellow Romidiant had caught up with her in levels, and for a moment there Pasifika had thought she should gain some experience herself before taking Romidiant on any more adventures... but now Linathra set the exampe by getting her adventuring fellow, which is two levels higher than Linathra to start with! o_O

So... Pasifika called Romidiant once more to her side and headed out with Linathra and Nakago - and of course their fellows Feliz and Sharlene. The places Pasifika had chosen for this adventure were Rolanberry Fields and Crawler's Nest, because Windurst' s influence in the area will hopefully inspire Romidiant into wearing the same magnificient Holy breastplate Pasifika wears. Enemies in Rolanberry fields were easy prey to Romidiant at best, and Crawler's Nest was filled with other adventurers, so Romidiant probably didn't get very much else out of this outing. ^^;

Romidiant is very polite, even formal, while Nakago's fellow Sharlene is a sweet but clumsy Hume girl. Linathra's Feliz is a Hume male, similar in appearance to Nakago but shorter. Romidiant keeps warning Pasifika about the dangers in every surroundings, but Feliz is very energetic and always ready to race with Linathra. Somehow Linathra always ends up winning, although on rare moments Feliz does take the lead... o_O; Feliz enjoys adventuring in fresh air instead of staying indoors, but he did confess he has filled his Mog House with vases, so that's no wonder. x)

I see rainbows *_*

A lot happened today, as first Pasifika took care of her chocobo - look who I found in the stables! - then she helped Linathra defeat the creepy Namorodo in Eldieme - ok, Ametrine and Donthitme defeated it while Lina and Pasifika watched x) - and then she went to Lufaise Meadows and got into a fight with this angry Gigas - and of course she lost -_-; - and there was this one monster... but lets skip to the highlights! :D

Cascade Edellaine, one of the most scenic places Pasifika has seen! So pretty... *_*

Beautiful scenery and flowers surround this stunning waterfall at Misareaux Coast in Tavnazia. There were beautiful rainbows as sunlight met the mist from the waterfall, as can be clearly seen in the picture of Pasifika and Phucrabiont approaching the place. The rainbow is very transparent and fragile, but definitely not just figment of imagination... ^^;

The only bad thing in that beautiful place are the evil, hungry fish that kept attacking poor Pasifika from out of nowhere, but naturally Pasifika wasn't alone, and Phucrabiont turned the ferocios fish into fillet in no time.

There were also big birds that didn't attack Pasifika, even though she took a very close look at them. Nope, they don't eat Hume meat. x) Hmm... what do they eat, then, to grow so big..? And can they fly distances if they want to? o_O We may never know...

The place was really beautiful and amid all that greenery and flowers, Pasifika and Phucrabiont were all alone... As evening grew darker, the place became even more enchanting, if possible.

But as day turned to night, they weren't alone anymore, because the Fomors came out.

Hi there Fomor party, where are you headed? :D {Any vacansies?} I've heard Fomor white mages are rare... x) Fomors are a bit quiet, but so is certain WHM we know, too.

Hmm... what else..? Exping with adventuring fellows, listening to the indecent conversation in LS (someone should use Cold Stare on the whole bunch XD) and chatting with the few and select friends... All in a day's work.

Watching Ballista

While Pasifika has had her Ballista licence for a while now, she hasn't actually participated in ballista at any point. She has watched Phucrabiont take part in a couple, however, and she went along to cheer Phu on in one more today.

Hmmm... Pasifika might be a little squeamish if she was pitted agains other adventurers, so she'd probably do very poorly in Ballista... ^^; The participants in the match she watched didn't hold back, though. Pasifika witnessed couple of brief one-on-one fights, for example RDM vs RDM and RDM vs NIN, but rarely there was time for such concentration, and most of the time it seemed to be just one big free-for-all - or a certain RDM vs the world. ^^;

There were very impressive displays of abilities and skills for Pasifika to admire. Oooh, what a magnificent tornado! :D But... guess who's inside... ^^; That cool looking fire must really burn, too, and the Tarutaru is rushing in for a Headbutt - and we know haw hard taru BLU can Headbutt! x)

Although in the end Windurst won, Phucrabiont did give the opponents their fair share during the match.

It all looked hopelessly confusing to Pasifika, but perhaps she'll be able to participate herself one day and see what it's really like. Hopefully the opponents won't be too hard... ^^; This time one of the participants was obviously a Ballista veteran, and it was a relief to see him on Phu's side. He did look scary anyway, dual-wielding two big swords...

Yeah, hold him back for a moment to give the other side a chance!

On a completely different note, Pasifika's little chocobo chick SnowyForest has grown fast. Apparently she didn't take the hint embedded in her name, because instead of turning green, she seems to be taking on a red hue... o_O;

Well, she's a cute young chocobo all the same, and not completely dumb, either. She loves to chirp along to the music Pulonono has been playing for her. It's such a shame there's no way to take a chocobo for a walk in Ru'lude Gardens - SnowyForest would love it... x)

But wait, Pulonono says she likes to chirp along, but doesn't mention if she's any good at it... It may be best to let little SnowyForest chirp in the relative privacy of the chocobo stables for now... ;D
