Ghost hunt

The Summer festival is here! :D Yukatas, goldfish scooping, fireworks...! But no, no, that'll have to wait. There'll be plenty about that later, but first, let me present to you: the creepy adventure in Gusgen Mines! (Dun dun dun~!)

It all started so innocently... Linathra and Pasifika helped the um... rejuvenated Nakago get some items for his ferry pass to Aht Urghan and they went to Gusgen mines to find the last item. Legends say there are deep ponds there, where ghosts dwell... Sure enough, there are ponds! And creepy apparitions in them, too... Brrr! D: (But no goldfish, that's been tested.)

So, the rumour had it the ghost would appear when the alarm sounded, and Pasifika and Lina waited by one of the ponds... and it appeared! :O Oooh, looks real ghostly... what if I go a bit closer...? Oops! It attacked the curious duo, who fled for their lives through the dark tunnels of Gusgen until they found a hiding place in Movalpolos. Phew... but the ghost wouldn't go away... ;_; Brave Sir Donthitme was ready to come to the rescue, but finally the ghost gave up and retreated to it's watery grave.

Were Lina and Pasifika any less curious now? No! :D There must be more rare ghosts around... but they're way too strong. :/

That problem was solved by the arrival of a helpful paladin, who was also interested in ghosts. After helping Nakago get the skull he needed (Pasifika had been smashing the ghouls to bone chips with her hammer, so they had had no luck until then), he showed the girls around the mines. Five ponds, five ghosts who had suffered a horrible fate... dark and gloomy places... and the whispers! D:

After some waiting, the ghost hunters managed to encounter four of the five ghosts, although one of them was, well, more dead than usual by the time they found it. (Pasifika posed with it anyway... look, she's the great ghostbuster! XD)

So, there was Smothered Schmitdt, Pulverized Pfeffer, Asphyxiated Amsel.. and Wounded Wurfel? o_O You know the (old and lame) joke about the, err, airhip that crashed right at a national border, and the question is on which side the the wounded should be buried..? Well, you don't bury the wounded, do you?! o_o; I see no reason why the wounded should haunt places, either, but some apparently do... mysteries of the unlife! :O

After seeing the ghosts, the adventurers looked for a secret door - or a pass-through wall, actually - which led them to a strange apparatus. Without the password, they could do nothing with it, by that was beside the point - finding it was an adventure. ^^

And then, finally, out of the murky tunnels and into the sunlight of Konschtat Highlands!

Happy adventure! :D

After a somewhat dull and tiring day of crafting and hanging around, Pasifika thought she'd go on a little adventure with Linathra... just the two of them and nothing big going on - she thought - so she changed to paladin job, grabbed some old clothes and was ready to go.

Before Lina and Pasifika got further out than Sarutabaruta, brave lil' Donthitme joined them, and so they had a paladin, a ninja and a samurai in the party. In Tahrongi they ran into some more people from the linkshell and decided to join forces with the bard and the other ninja...

The initial meeting wasn't a happy one, though, because the two new arrivals fought a goblin that killed one of them, and then Donthitme was also KO:ed as the rest tried to help. :/ But no worries, help was close at hand - just a a quick question in the LS and a white mage rushed over to raise the fallen adventurers. Yay! :D

Also, General Phucrabiont made the mistake of mentioning having some time to kill, and was recruited as a PL for the party... it was fun while it lasted, with cures and hastes and all - but nothing less could be expected, of course. ;D

Another PL (from the LS, naturally) was already on the way when Phu left, but he took some time to arrive, so Pasifika dropped by in Windurst to do some shopping... a new sword and some supplies for the other party members, and then back to kill some more innocent creatures. The party had seized the opportunity and talked about Pasifika behind her back while she was away... She got a glimpse of the type of ruomors that had been discussed when yet another LS member that had happened to pass by the party's camp discussed some of it in the LS chat. ;>_> Ignorance could be bliss in this case... ^^;

The party succesfully beat up some goblins as well as cute mandys, fluffy bunnies and birdies in Buburimu, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Even the idea of making a static was mentioned in passing, but that kind of arrangement would be problematic - unless everyone liked the schedule of partying once in a full moon. ;P

'Hey, watch where you aim! D:'Well, it was fun, so Pasifika might be persuaded to do something like that every other week or so, or even a bit more often, but most like to gather experience much faster. ^^; When it's all about getting it as fast as possible - and usually with strangers - most of the fun is drained out of it... ;_; This adventure was a happy one, though, and a nice break from the usual routines. ^^

To the limits and beyond

Pasifika had reached what seemed to be the peak of her experiences, with nothing new to gain... until this old guy Maat in Jeuno wanted to see her develop even further. Of course he wanted Pasifika to prove her worth first, and doing it by the means of witty conversation wasn't an option. Off to the lairs of fiends!
(Btw look, it's the Holy shield! :D)

Brave little Donthitme helped Pasifika get the unappetising mold from the exorays in Crawler's Nest. While there, they also helped a little taru, who unfortunately died a couple of times nevertheless. Pasifika died once, too, while rushing to help the taru, but mighty Donthitme defeated the bunch of enemies - slowly but surely - allowing Pasifika to get up and raise the other taru as well.

Victory!

Next item on the list was some bomb coal from the notorious Garlaige Citadel... what is that guy going to do with these? o_O Phucrabiont kindly helped with that one, and it turned out to be the easiest one to get.

Luck ran out by the time Pasifika and Phucrabiont got to Eldieme Necropolis, however, and they had to leave empty handed - but Pasifika got a good look at the cree~py place.

She returned later with Donthitme, who intimidated the liches into giving Pasifika the papyrus she needed. (Sounds so~ much like the ingredients for a stink bomb, but the old guy has nothing to do with those tarutaru kids, right... o_o)

Back in Jeuno, Pasifika astounded the old man with the items she had singlehandedly had others get for her, and recieved her due reward.

With her newfound ability to gain more experience, Pasifika is finally able to equip some items she has kept in store for quite a while... ^^; But they're probably still fashionable... these staffs are kind of classics, right?

Twinkling bamboo grass

The event Moogles teleport anyone for free (with the swirly light effect of eating sushi o_O?) and give pretty bamboo branches for decorating the Mog House, isn't that nice~! No way these kind Moogles could be involved in any kind of conspiracy - or so they'd like us to think. x)

Well, you can guess who has the wool pulled over her eyes ah-so-happily... ^^;

Sparkling forest in the Mog House~~! :D

The bamboo branches outside have little lanterns on them, it would be nice to take some of those inside as well... maybe when the guards and the W.W.s are looking the other way... x)

The Wedding day

Thank you so much for all who attended our Vana'diel wedding ceremony, the reception and the wedding Besieged! It has been a day to remember, and the presence of our friends truly made it perfect. ^^

When the day of the wedding arrived, Pasifika was quite nervous - but also very happy as you can imagine. In the rehearsals the Temple Knight commended Pasifika, Phucrabiont and Donthitme for being well prepared. :D Well, Donthitme stumbled a little while practicing, but the Temple Knight assured everyone he would look cute all the same because he's a tarutaru. ^^

There were some rules and instructions the guests needed to follow, or in the worst case the wedding could've been cancelled, so Donthitme worked hard to make everyone behave. In the meanwhile, Pasifika and Phucrabiont went over the details of the ceremony one last time. Finally everything and (at least almost) everyone was ready, and the guests were led in to the garden.

After all had settled down, Phucrabiont approached the Temple Knight, and Pasifika - accompanied by Donthitme - followed some time after him as they had been instructed. The Temple Knight spoke of love and and starting a journey together. Pasifika and Phucrabiont swore on their honour to love and never to betray each other for all eternity, even should their blades be sundered and quivers emptied.All in all the San d'Orian ceremony was very much centered on weaponry, which was also reflected in the wedding wows.

After the official ceremony was over, the guests offered their blessings to the newlyweds by clapping, cheering and using fireworks. All of the fireworks were very festive and pretty, but wasn't shooting rockets at the couple and the wedding master a bit too much? ^^;

The wedding reception took place in Kokba Hostel at Aht Urghan Whitegate. Everyone was invited to join and a good number of friends came there to celebrate. In the middle of the festivities Phucrabiont made a stunning confession: every now and then he turns into a rarab! D: (Not many outside San d'Oria know this, but that is definitely a sign he's well suited to be an heir the San d'Orian throne!)

Pasifika was more than willing to keep the cuddly and cute rarab, and she was hoping this new turn of events would also help others to accept her dark secret... she has a tendency to turn into a tiny Mandragora! She didn't get as much understanding as she had hoped, though, as some of the guests readied their scythes and Phucrabiont the rarab eyed the leaves on top of her head hungrily.... ;_;

The reception party was very much fun and the foods, drinks, fireworks, costume cakes and the mystical 'digestive magic' kept the guest amused for a good while. But as it happened, Pasifika had also sent invitations to the local beastmen... She had hoped some cute Poroggos would come, or perhaps a Lamia Songstress would drop by to perform some of those absolutely charming songs, but... it was the Trolls that decided to show up. ;>_>

Well, since they had come all this way... the groom, bride, chaperone and most of the wedding guests promptly moved to Al Zahbi to meet the advancing Trolls. Fun and excitement! :D
