Ghost hunt

The Summer festival is here! :D Yukatas, goldfish scooping, fireworks...! But no, no, that'll have to wait. There'll be plenty about that later, but first, let me present to you: the creepy adventure in Gusgen Mines! (Dun dun dun~!)

It all started so innocently... Linathra and Pasifika helped the um... rejuvenated Nakago get some items for his ferry pass to Aht Urghan and they went to Gusgen mines to find the last item. Legends say there are deep ponds there, where ghosts dwell... Sure enough, there are ponds! And creepy apparitions in them, too... Brrr! D: (But no goldfish, that's been tested.)

So, the rumour had it the ghost would appear when the alarm sounded, and Pasifika and Lina waited by one of the ponds... and it appeared! :O Oooh, looks real ghostly... what if I go a bit closer...? Oops! It attacked the curious duo, who fled for their lives through the dark tunnels of Gusgen until they found a hiding place in Movalpolos. Phew... but the ghost wouldn't go away... ;_; Brave Sir Donthitme was ready to come to the rescue, but finally the ghost gave up and retreated to it's watery grave.

Were Lina and Pasifika any less curious now? No! :D There must be more rare ghosts around... but they're way too strong. :/

That problem was solved by the arrival of a helpful paladin, who was also interested in ghosts. After helping Nakago get the skull he needed (Pasifika had been smashing the ghouls to bone chips with her hammer, so they had had no luck until then), he showed the girls around the mines. Five ponds, five ghosts who had suffered a horrible fate... dark and gloomy places... and the whispers! D:

After some waiting, the ghost hunters managed to encounter four of the five ghosts, although one of them was, well, more dead than usual by the time they found it. (Pasifika posed with it anyway... look, she's the great ghostbuster! XD)

So, there was Smothered Schmitdt, Pulverized Pfeffer, Asphyxiated Amsel.. and Wounded Wurfel? o_O You know the (old and lame) joke about the, err, airhip that crashed right at a national border, and the question is on which side the the wounded should be buried..? Well, you don't bury the wounded, do you?! o_o; I see no reason why the wounded should haunt places, either, but some apparently do... mysteries of the unlife! :O

After seeing the ghosts, the adventurers looked for a secret door - or a pass-through wall, actually - which led them to a strange apparatus. Without the password, they could do nothing with it, by that was beside the point - finding it was an adventure. ^^

And then, finally, out of the murky tunnels and into the sunlight of Konschtat Highlands!
