Watching Ballista

While Pasifika has had her Ballista licence for a while now, she hasn't actually participated in ballista at any point. She has watched Phucrabiont take part in a couple, however, and she went along to cheer Phu on in one more today.

Hmmm... Pasifika might be a little squeamish if she was pitted agains other adventurers, so she'd probably do very poorly in Ballista... ^^; The participants in the match she watched didn't hold back, though. Pasifika witnessed couple of brief one-on-one fights, for example RDM vs RDM and RDM vs NIN, but rarely there was time for such concentration, and most of the time it seemed to be just one big free-for-all - or a certain RDM vs the world. ^^;

There were very impressive displays of abilities and skills for Pasifika to admire. Oooh, what a magnificent tornado! :D But... guess who's inside... ^^; That cool looking fire must really burn, too, and the Tarutaru is rushing in for a Headbutt - and we know haw hard taru BLU can Headbutt! x)

Although in the end Windurst won, Phucrabiont did give the opponents their fair share during the match.

It all looked hopelessly confusing to Pasifika, but perhaps she'll be able to participate herself one day and see what it's really like. Hopefully the opponents won't be too hard... ^^; This time one of the participants was obviously a Ballista veteran, and it was a relief to see him on Phu's side. He did look scary anyway, dual-wielding two big swords...

Yeah, hold him back for a moment to give the other side a chance!

On a completely different note, Pasifika's little chocobo chick SnowyForest has grown fast. Apparently she didn't take the hint embedded in her name, because instead of turning green, she seems to be taking on a red hue... o_O;

Well, she's a cute young chocobo all the same, and not completely dumb, either. She loves to chirp along to the music Pulonono has been playing for her. It's such a shame there's no way to take a chocobo for a walk in Ru'lude Gardens - SnowyForest would love it... x)

But wait, Pulonono says she likes to chirp along, but doesn't mention if she's any good at it... It may be best to let little SnowyForest chirp in the relative privacy of the chocobo stables for now... ;D

Holy breastplate!

During the Feast of Swords Pasifika has actually tanked the armors as lvl 1 white mage, and it has been... satisfying, to say the least. x) Stoneskin = Invincible! >:D

Now Pasifika has acquired a shiny 'white mage only' armor and just had to try it out at Besieged... Oh, but before it started, the bard in the party sought out Pasifika and Phucrabiont in a remote corner of Al Zahbi and kept performing Pasifika's favourite ballads! :D (Guess which ones... ^.~) Such a diligent bard~ ^_^

Hi there, general Mihli! Wanna come kill some NMs or something with me? No? You rather wait here? Ok, as you wish...

Hey! You!
Big lizard over there! D:

Just try to hit me, I'm invin... oops, I'll be right back after I get stoneskin and blink back up! x)

Well, it actually didn't hurt at all, because the irreverent bugard didn't seem to care one bit about the mighty blows of Pasifika's blessed hammer and it pretty much ignored her ah-so-shiny presence - and Pasifika was smart enough to retreat while she was still in one piece. :3 But that just had to be done at least once, although standing at a high spot and raining fire and brimstone, I mean banish, on the enemies below suits Pasifika just fine. x)

Oh yeah, and some cures and raises on the allies, too, but that's more likely to get the enemies' attention than anything Pasifika can blast them with... ^^; Aaand it'd all be so much easier if Pasifika managed to keep up with the red mage, bard, or both... Where did they go? Luckily they both found Pasifika after a while. ^_^

Pasifika got a lot of practice in the fine art of blasting things when she headed out to improve her black mage skills. Phucrabiont and Ametrine were with her, and soon they had a full party. No white mage came along, but the other black mage in the party had Cure II, so things went quite smoothly. Pasifika would have a lo~ng way to go if she ever wanted to be a first-class BLM, but this time the party was pretty good and her inexperience didn't matter much. She even managed to land some magic bursts and generally just nuked away happily. x) Bli~zza~rd!
After all that, Pasifika returned to Whitegate and hastily changed out of the gray tunic back into her beautiful armor... *_*

Oh, what has happened to the familiar figure in Whitegate, the little Tarutaru who's been shouting there day and night.. and what's with this Galka who has a similar name and is using the taru's sales shouts..? o_O Is the Galka tryig to be a replacement, or is the taru just taking a break...

{Full attack!}

The Feast of swords event provided entertainment (and some frustration ^^;) for Pasifika for some time, but finally, with the help of her friends, she got the prized items and so effectively concluded the event on her part. In Sarutabaruta there were many eager participats and Pasifika even took part in bringing down the dreaded Omodaka armor, the {Impossible to gauge} Mithra...

Gustaberg was much more quiet, however, and it didn't seem like Pasifika could get anything done there. Phucrabiont came to help her, and then another friend popped up... and soon there was a full party - and some others - beating the living daylights out of the armors. o_O That was fun... :D

Ronfaure was nearly as deserted as Gustaberg, despite Phu's assurance that in San d'Oria things would be done right and thoroughly... x) With lots of help from a cute little Tarutaru Kunzite - and ok, a bit from Phu, too - Pasifika finally defeated the last of the four armors that can reasonably be beaten, and recieved her reward. :D But why did the Tarutaru armor have to be the most elusive one... ;_; Pasifika was left with very little Tarutaru Mochi, and a generous helping of Galka mochi. ;>_> Well, it could be useful to frighten some new arrivals or something... x)

Speaking of which, Pasifika and Phucrabiont amazed people at Port San d'oria with their unbelievably cute Mandragora costumes. :D But hey! Obviously Phu is a fully grown Mandragora while Pasifika is only a Tiny Mandragora... XD

At the end of this spectacular display of cuteness, Pasifika (wearing her Guide beret) teleported herself and the still-costumed Phucrabiont away, from under the nose of a curious Mithra that had come to admire the two Mandys. x)

After some more adventuring Pasifika took the boat to Whitegate and set out to do some work. At every mention of the word 'teleport' she was ready, and she got a handful of customers in a relatively short time. And to put to rest any rumours about Pasifika being unable to tell apart the different races: The one at the left is a Hume, next to go is a Tarutaru (cute little miniature RDM :D), then another Tarutaru, and last but not least, one {Linkshell} {leader}. x)

Well, that made enough gil for some carrot paste for little SnowyForest. After taking care of the chocobo, it's time to rest in the Mog House, watching all the shiny little decorations... especially the new timepiece, which actually has moving parts in it... *_*

Besieged, again

Al Zahbi was being besieged once again, and Pasifika hurried to help the empire struggle against the Lamia troops. Well, one little white mage hardly makes a difference, but why should she care about that... so in she went. And this time even the helping hand of the little WHM was needed, as generals fell one by one. -_-
Poor Mihli was the first to go, as Pasifika had chosen to follow Galalar this time (after she'd heard some interesting rumours about him and his, um, spirited battle cries). Mihli, {Please forgive me.} ,o_o,

Rughadjeen was next in line, though that was hardly a surprise. Zazarg apparently got charmed.... or something... o_O With Zararg and Galalar appearing to be on different sides, which one am I supposed to defend here...? O_o

Gadalar fell practically before Pasifika's eyes, from full health in an instance. Zazarg put up a fierce resistance, but followed suit after a while. Only Najelith was left, and the defenders of Al Zahbi gathered around the Hume ranger to keep her alive. In the end the defenders did a marvellous job - despite some disheartened ones shouting the battle was already lost - and finally the enemies retreated once more. It was a bit too close for comfort, though.

The empire of Aht Urghan should invest in some very sturdy walls around Al Zahbi... ;>_>

Oh well, there are more important things in Pasifika's life - like these tiny twinkling trees.... *_* Shi~ny~
And of course the event! In it's own way, it's about as dangerous and brutal as Besieged, especially with that killer Omodaka armor out there... but it's {fun} and {excitement}!
