Pasifika has been walking on clouds lately, bacause the long-awaited wedding day has been finally confirmed. ^_^
However, she was shaken out of her daydreams when Linathra offered to go adventuring with her. There were a couple of jobs both wanted to unlock, and some other exciting things to do, so they started by visiting the Mithra Chieftainness in Windurst Woods. She told them to seek out tigers and they did, but... who would want to become a ranger to hunt these beautiful big cats? :o
The one Lina and Pasifika found was old and feeble, looking for a final resting place... (/cheer) Old Sabertooth, you can make it! And (/comfort)... ;_;
Back in Windurst, Perih Vashai explained how it's all so noble and um... fanged, so it must be ok... No time to try any rangering, though, other things were awaiting...
In Jeuno, a minstrel was feeling very depressed in the Merry Minstrel tavern, and the Mithra behind the counter suggested a visit to an inscribed stone in Buburimu.
The song inscribed there was touching, and Lina and Pasifika rushed back to Jeuno to tell the minstrel about it - but he wasn't very impressed. The other song stone in Valkurm Dunes was more inspiring, it seems, but Pasifika was kind of lost in thought there.... ah, sweet memories... ^_^
In the Dunes Pasifika also raised an unlucky adventurer and dug up a chocobo treasure. Lina and Pasifika weren't in a hurry, so they took the ferry to Mhaura - and back to Selbina, and then Mhaura, and... ^^; They were hoping to see the infamous undead pirates and retrieve an important charm, but the pirates were taking it easy... When they finally attacked, Lina and Pasifika were waiting. "Hey, pirates! Hurry up and board this ferry already!"
The fighting wasn't as fierce as Pasifika had expected, but it had been a while since she last saw pirates, so no wonder they seemed so terrible in her memories... ^^; Lina and Pasifika defeated a good deal of the skeletal pirates, but only got two bonechips before the pirates retreated and their ship disappeared into the mist where it had come from. :/
After their first attack, the pirates went on a vacation altogether, and things looked very peaceful - most of the time. There was a bit of rain at times, some morning mist, beautiful sunsets... and a Sea Horror climbed on the deck to say hi. o_o;
The Sea Horror brought back some memories as well, of a time not so long ago when Pasifika had defeated it with a certain skilled red mage... Since that RDM wasn't around, Pasifika kind of hoped the Sea Horror wouldn't remember, but those mean looks told otherwise... best to stay out of reach. ^^;
After parting ways with Lina, Pasifika headed out to Altepa Desert with her adventuring fellow Romidiant. It wasn't a very fruitful trip, but not a completely wasted one either, although Romidiant had something very important to take care of and he left in the middle of a battle. -_-; Well, Pasifika warped away as well, no point in fighting all alone. There were some scary-looking monsters lurking nearby....
I never expected to write this post

I've long believed that only a maniac or masochist would ever play FFXI for
fun.
I last played in August 2012 and that was after a year long break. I

Ooh, I should open BRD too some day... As well as BLU and SMN...
Oh yeah, are you aware that some people say that it's bad luck to get married in San d'Oria, because apparently half the pairs who get married there split up. D: (I'm sure this is just some rumours started by jealous hume or mithra, they're just envious they can't get married in a place like that!)
However, if there was such a bad luck, I'm sure our All Lucky Sevens-date will counter it. x)
